Quarrystone revetments have protected properties from Lake Michigan stormwaves for nearly a century. However, they can be much more than a utilitarian structure. After many years of designing revetments, Shabica & Associates has refined the art of ‘flat top’ stone placement using natural materials. This technique of special placement locks stones together, maximizing structural stability as well as providing a more attractive appearance. Today’s low maintenance revetments can provide shore protection, safe access to the water, a spot for fishing, a place to build a bonfire, or even a patio flat enough for table and chairs. |
